Background
Siyath foundation was created in the year 1985 in order to illustrate a practical solution towards economic as well as social and individual empowerment of the poor especially the women, learning from the experiences gained by the Change agents program in the late 70"s. The basic premise was that the creative and resilient capacity inherent in the economically disadvantaged sections of the society could be channeled to develop the integrative strengths in fighting social and economic disadvantages
Vision
Support for holistic development of groups from different strata of the community through self activated empowerment which would enhance their capacities for withstanding and overcoming external pressure that impact adversely on the sustained all round growth
Mission
Visualize issues and to identify practical solutions which would realize the interest of the majority and where proactive mobilisation and partnerships at different levels to be materialized to win a better voice for the unheard communities through mainstreaming processes to become integrated into the global interventions by emphasizing the recognition for human values and mother nature
