Partners and Alliances

In India Aide et Action has implemented projects in collaboration with:

  • European Commission (EC)

    EC has supported AeA in 5 projects so far, these projects were focused on integrated development approach under which EC and AeA worked for universalization of quality education by addressing all priority issues for the community including livelihoods, women empowerment, health, sanitation and other allied sectors. 

    EC co-financed projects undertaken by Aide et Action in partnership with local NGOs are:

  • Department for International Development (DFID), Government of UK

    AeA is currently implementing DFID supported rehabilitation program for tsunami affected communities in Nagapattinam and Karaikal. The project is focused on equitable rehabilitation and inclusion of marginalized groups like Dalits, landless, women and children.

  • American India Foundation (AIF)

    AIF is AeA's strategic partner for livelihoods education initiatives in tsunami affected areas and livelihoods resource centre.

  • Development Cooperation Ireland (DCI)

    DCI has in the past supported AeA for implementing a project in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh with its local NGO partner BYPASS. The project was focused on education for communities affected by seasonal migration. The project ended in 2004.

    DCI is currently supporting AeA for implementing a project on inclusive education and community based rehabilitation of disabled in 3 districts - Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh), Mehboobnagar (Andhra Pradesh) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh). The first phase of this project will end in 2006.

  • Dr Reddy's Foundation (DRF)

    DRF is also strategic partner of AeA for providing technical support for strengthening employability skills training component of AeA's livelihoods education initiatives.

    Currently AeA and DRF are implementing AeA LABS (Livelihoods Advancement and Business School) project for imparting employability training to tsunami affected youth of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
